Cambridgeshire DTL Championship 2025

On April 27th, 15 Cambridgeshire registered shooters made the most of some fabulous weather at The Priory Clay Target to put in some excellent scores at the Cambridgeshire DTL Championships.

Richard Morris with his amazing speed and accuracy took High Gun and AA class for the day and the 2025 Cambridgeshire DTL Championship trophy with a superb 100/296.

He was closely followed by the [webmaster: nearly] equally efficient Paul Neal with a score of 99/294 securing the Men’s trophy. Giovanni Russo took the Veterans title with a 99/289. Hazel Morris was on top form to take both the Ladies and B Class awards with a score of 93/275. Andrew Oakley took C Class with an 87/253.

We had no Cambridgeshire juniors entering this year however, a special mention must go to young Joe Wilson who at just 10 years old and under the tuition of Aaron Heading at the Priory, travelled down from Yorkshire with his very supportive family to enter his first 100 registered DTL event. He was never fazed by the occasion or the competition from seasoned internationals and county shooters and scored 82/242.  Joe will be one to look out for in the future. One again we thank Natasha and the team at The Priory CTC for their hospitality and an excellent shoot.
