Intercounties FITASC 2023

Sporting Targets, 12/13th August 2023

Thanks to all the team from over the weekend shooting the Intercounties FITASC. Most shot on Saturday – a day with varying degrees of weather (some nice sunshine with sporadic rain some a bit harder than others at times). The vets team were in 1st joint place after Saturday but with more scores coming in on Sunday were pushed down into 3rd place. The senior team finished in 5th.

After managing to get 4 juniors:

M Allen

B Jorden

C Hodson

S Vella

available to shoot they all shot very well and came away with the win they deserved.

As most people have gone home by the end of the day, the Cambs team manager picked up the glassware for you all and will catch up with you all soon.

Well shot everyone thank you all.

Cambridgeshire FITASC 2023

The Cambs FITASC Championship took place on the Saturday and Monday of the  Easter weekend  at High Lodge. After a sunny day on the Saturday (an additional day because the Monday was full) the weather took a turn for the worse on the Monday with it being very wet and windy. Despite the relentless rain it was an enjoyable shoot with challenging but fair targets. Thanks go to all the team at High Lodge for their work in putting on a successful event.

Thank you to everyone who turned out to support the shoot. Congratulations to Phil Gray on winning the overall Championship with an excellent 99 – shot on the Saturday! Congratulations also go to winners of the category trophies

Phil Gray – county champion (99)

Peter Simpson – mens and veterans (89)

Georgia Moule – ladies (85)

Benjamin Jorden – juniors (76)

Well that’s the FITASC done for this year. Thanks to Eriswell for holding it for us as well as for Suffolk and Norfolk. A fair turn out of shooters on the whole, not such a good turn out for Cambs, but thanks go to the ones that turned up and shot. Also thank you to the scorers and staff – always got a smile on their faces and seem pleased to see you there.

Cambridgeshire FITASC

From the county chair:

The County FITASC Championship which was held on the 26/27th August at Grimsthorpe. I went on the Sunday to get some pictures but being held over 2 days the County winners shot on the Saturday so no pictures of them.  But the Cambs Championship was taken by Harry Seal with a 86 the Vets went to Steve Grant with 83 and the Ladies went to Holly Duggan with 68. These are very good scores indeed judging by the score board only two people shot better than Harry over 2 days.
