Double Rise 18th August 2019 Cambridge Gun Club

The day looked promising to start with; a little wind, but not too bad. Then the rain started and the wind got up then we had a few sunny spells with gusts, but we all tried our best for the conditions. The overall winner, by one bird, was Phil Barnard. just pipping Tim Jones for the championship. Amelia Smith was the Ladies’ winner and the Colts’ was won by Ethan Lord. There is no trophy for this one, but he still gets the badge to keep. Well shot all, and thanks to CGC for looking after us once again. (Scores to follow when CPSA publish them)

DR 2019 L>R Phil Barnard (Winner), Ladies’ Winner Amelia Smith, Tim Jones presenting the trophies.

Chairman Resigns

I have just received a letter of resignation from our Chairman Allan Wright, resigning from both the position of Chairman and his place on the committee.

Allan has been considering his position carefully since before last Christmas, and has made the decision to stand down.

I spoke with Allan on the telephone after receiving his letter, and again would like to thank him on behalf of everyone, for his many years of service and dedication to the Cambridgeshire CPSA, and on behalf of all the shooters that he cares about with a passion.

Tim Jones has stepped in as interim Chairman so please address all relevant enquiries through him.

Regards,

Marcus Webb
