On 15th February the UT championship took place at times in blizzard conditions and the remainder in heavy rain – thank goodness for the covered layouts! 

Congratulations go to:

Championship winner and junior/colt winner – Benjamin Jordan (85);

G Russo – Mens and Veteran winner (74);

J Bell – ladies winner (52).

A reminder that the Cambs OT Championship is on Sunday 22 February 2026 at Nuthampstead.

The Cambs Universal Trench championship was held at Nuthampstead on 4 June and at last the sun came out!  

Thanks to Nicky, Ed and staff for running the event which went very well. Congratulations go to Chris Cheng (90ex100) who won the championship and to Graham Carter who won the veterans and men’s trophies, one target behind!

Nuthampstead Shooting Ground did a great job in hosting the Cambs UT championship, alongside Essex and Hertfordshires County championships. 

It was a rather chilly but bright day at Nuthampstead and the targets were looking great. 

It was a close competition for the Cambridgeshire shooters, right up until the final squad. 

Giovanni Russo shot brilliantly with a score of 92, to take the overall champion trophy. 

Graham Carter took the Veterans and Mens with a score of 90. Our extended thanks to Nuthampstead Shooting Ground for opening the Cambridgeshire championship season with both this and the opening Olympic Trap

Today the committee were at Nuthampstead Shooting Ground for our Cambs Universal Trench competition.

It was very cloudy and dreary all day, but staff and shooters alike were enthusiastic for the day ahead – a long day ahead!
