Cambridgeshire Double Rise sunday July 28th, Sywell.

The Cambridgeshire Double Rise Championship was held at Sywell Range on, a very windy, Sunday, July 28th. Double Rise is always a challenge, as most people only shoot it once or twice a year, but there was a good turnout of Cambridgeshire shooters. Pete, Martine, Roy and crew welcomed us warmly and set up some good targets which were made more challenging by a gusty wind. Phil Barnard set the standard, shooting a 79 in the first squad out, and this score remained unbeaten all day. Congratulations to Phil on winning the County title. Josh Pearson shot a commendable 71 to win the Junior title and Michele Conway won the Ladies' and Veterans' on 60. John Barnard also shot 60 but was not present for a shoot off. Congratulations to all winners and many thanks to our County shooters for supporting this event and to all at Sywell for hosting the shoot.
