Held at Orston SG, June 26th 2010: Report from the County Secretary
The Cambridgeshire Travelling Circus travelled once again out of the county
North to Orston Shooting Ground.
If you have never been it is well worth the journey (If Carlsberg did
shooting grounds...) The Ground owner Charlie Denoon used 2 Proper Double rise
layouts this meant that the targets were very good - in some cases better than
the shooters.
The shoot was also the East Midlands Championship this made the Cambs 12
shooters into a total of 21.
The High Gun was Mr Clay Pigeon Terry Humphries who took the High gun with
a score of 67 x 80. From 40 pairs. Our top gun was the improving Tim Jones
with 64 followed very close by Young Josh Pearson with 63
the vets went to John Barnard to add to his long stock of Trophies this
year with 54 and the The Ladies was taken by Hazel Whiten with 39.
