Well folks the first of our County Championships took part this weekend the 3rd of March. Well it could have been a better day and after the last few weeks it was a big let down , but nevertheless it was a good turn out at Eriswell SG for our English Skeet Championship. Some very good shooting took place and as it worked out the early morning squads were the winners with the weather; they got a bit wet but missed the big winds. We had two 100 straights shot on the early squads, these were not from Cambs shooters, but from two Suffolk shooters. We have a trophy in memory of Bev Waller ; this is open to all comers so it was going to be won by one of these Suffolk shooters . At the end of the shoot a shoot off took place and both shooters made it 125 straight before doubles on 4 picked a winner and that was Stuart Smith well shot Stuart!
Our top shot and County Champion was Richard Morris adding a skeet title to the DTL one he took a couple of years ago he shot 98. Followed closely by his Dad, Chris who shot 97 and also the seniors trophy.
The Vets went to Tim Jones with a 93 also an early day shooter and the ladies went to Ami Hedgecock with a 92. The Juniors went to Taylor Hedgecock with a 97 and the colts to Ethan Lord with a super 86 . Followed very closely by Henry Sperring with a 83 Watch out Ethan .
