Cambridgeshire Olympic Skeet Championship 16th April Tythe Farm

olympic skeet winners 2016

L>R Philip Smith, Allan Wright

(presenting) and Freddy Killander

Saturday the 16th April was the Cambridgeshire Olympic Skeet Championship.  This was held at Tythe Farm, Colmworth in Bedfordshire, as it has been for a number of years. It was shared with the Beds championship.  So having not seen the ground since I registered it about 15 years ago, it was a great opportunity to visit and present the County Championship Trophies. On arrival, I noticed there have been several improvements including a very pleasant club house, a super toilet block and well kept grounds all laid to grass; and the skeet houses were a pleasure to look at !!
The shoot had actually finished when I arrived and the winner, as for several years before, was Freddy Killander, with a super score of 96.
The shooters made us very welcome, and I met an old friend Philip Smith, who won the Vets title again this year. I am glad I went to Tythe Farm, well worth a visit, and thanks to Phil for hosting the championship again this year.
And so
Cambridgeshire Champion - Freddy Killander
Vets Champion - Philip Smith

There were no entrants for other categories.

[Thanks to Allan Wright]
