Cambs Olympic Trap, 15th March 2013, Nuthampstead
The Olympic Trap Championship was held on St Patrick’s Day in a bitterly cold wind and intermittent torrential downpours. In contrast we received a warm welcome from Nicky, Martin and staff and thanks to them for a well-run day with 8 squads shooting. There was a good turnout of Cambridgeshire shooters including a surprise appearance by skeet shooter Colin Fordham! Derek McLean won the Cambridgeshire High Gun with 77, one bird ahead of Pete Waller who was the top scoring veteran. Belinda York took the Ladies title with 66 with Sarah Christensen as runner-up. Many thanks to all the shooters who turned out in the cold, wind and rain to support this County event.
