From the County Secretary: Monday the 30th Aug saw the usual clients appear at Lakenheath for the Cambridgeshire Skeet Doubles Championship. This was a well attended shoot as is usual for anything Skeet going on at this popular ground.

On arrival it resembled a ski resort with the referees dressed in scarves and full winter clothing and targets bouncing up and down in what seemed a day from 2 months in the future. but nevertheless the old timers seemed to find form with Rod Gifford recording a fine 95 closely followed by Peter Maguire on 94. Peter Cook joined in with another 94 and last year's Champion Chris Morris found it hard going on his way to 93 winning the class but not the Championship this year.

Liz Green took the Ladies to match her Ladies Skeet championship earlier in the year and the colts once again went to Taylor Hedgcock. Other notable scores were yours truly with 93. Gordon Webster 92 .Albert Taylor 91 David Christensen with a solid 90.

So Rod Gifford took the County Title also the Vets' Shield Liz Green the Ladies' Cup and Taylor Hedgcock the Colts'/Juniors'. We had 50 entries not a bad day for all.
