All Round Teams

The East Midlands Intercounties All Round is at Mid Norfolk Shooting School on August 31st 2008.

A rather strange Intercounties All Round took place at Mid Norfolk Shooting School, with teams randomly shooting on either A or B layouts for the S/B, ESK and ABT rounds, and with targets from each discipline dropping into the fields of fire of the other disciplines. There was also a sporting layout considerably harder than the average all-round competition boasts, but at least that was the same for everyone!

The Veterans' team used their experience to ignore these distractions, and win the day by a single clay. The Seniors' score of 528 sadly placed them 5th (after Suffolk 541, Norfolk 540, Northants 534, Lincs 533), while the Ladies' team's 161 put them in 3rd just behind Northants on 162 and thefour-strong Suffolk team who won o 167.

As you can see the Veterans were laughing all the way to the prize giving (left), not least because they had finished shooting before the weather took a spectacular change for the worse (right), having been blazing sunshine throughout the competition!
